PhD Student Positions
Current University of Chicago students: Our group hires 1-3 graduate students each academic year and we are interested in students from a wide range of backgrounds including (but not limited to) Engineering, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Physics and Biophysics. We have worked with several MD/PhD students as well. Our alumni have found positions in industry, academia and consulting. Students who are not currently at U Chicago: Students who are interested in working with Dr. Tay will need to be admitted to one of the University of Chicago graduate programs, including the Molecular Engineering program. You may contact Dr. Tay regarding the suitability of your background and research interests, and to get advise on how to apply to our graduate programs.

Postdocs
We are interested in working with postdoctoral researchers from a wide range of backgrounds including (but not limited to) Engineering, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Physics and Computer Science. Tay Lab hires 2-3 postdoc researchers each year. Unless noted otherwise, we have open postdoctoral positions at the Tay Lab to work on any of the research themes described here. Our alumni have found positions in both academia and industry.
Technicians
We are interested in recent graduates of Engineering, Biological Sciences or Chemistry programs to work as Research Technicians at the Tay Lab. You will have a chance to assist existing projects and conduct cutting edge science and publish in Bioengineering and Systems Biology. Please contact Prof. Tay for more information on these positions.
